Paul C. Gluckow - Partner and General Counsel

Paul Gluckow serves as Simpson Thacher’s General Counsel, providing counsel and advice to the Firm and its lawyers on a wide range of legal, compliance, and risk management matters.

Prior to becoming the Firm’s General Counsel, he was a member of Simpson Thacher’s Litigation Department for 25 years, including for 17 years as a Partner. During his years as a litigator at the Firm, Paul represented financial institutions, corporations, and individuals in high-profile securities litigation, M&A-related disputes, antitrust litigation, government and internal investigations, and other complex commercial litigation matters.

He joined Simpson Thacher in 1996 and over the years has held various leadership positions within the Firm, including as Co-Chair of the Counsel/Senior Counsel Committee, Business Development Committee, Personnel Committee, and Associates Committee.

Paul received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1994, where he was also Editor-in-Chief of the Seton Hall Law Review. He received his M. Phil. with highest distinction in 1992 from the University of Glasgow and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 1988. In 1994–1995, Paul served as a law clerk to the Hon. William G. Bassler of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and in 1995–1996 he clerked for the Hon. Samuel A. Alito, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Moshe Azoulai - Director of Practice Technology Moshe Azoulai is the Director of Practice Technology at Simpson Thacher, where he leads the Firm’s practice technology deployment and support. Moshe has been with the Firm for over 35 years, during which time he has served in a number of roles. 

Moshe received his B.S. in Computer Science from Brooklyn College.

Andrew Baker - Director of Data Analytics Andrew Baker is the Director of Data Analytics at Simpson Thacher. Andrew joined the Firm in 2020.

Oz Benamram - Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer Oz Benamram is the Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer at Simpson Thacher, where he provides strategic direction on knowledge management, innovation and practice technology. Oz joined the Firm in 2020.
 
Oz received his LL.B. from the Tel Aviv University Law School and his B.A. from Tel Aviv University Faculty of Social Sciences.

Ann Bjornstad - Director of Legal Recruiting Ann Bjornstad is the Director of Legal Recruiting at Simpson Thacher. Ann joined the Firm in 2022.

Ann received her B.A. from Northwestern University. 

Adrienne Boán - Chief Financial Officer

Adrienne Boán is the Chief Financial Officer at Simpson Thacher. Adrienne has been with the Firm since 2005. Adrienne was formerly Director of Finance at another major law firm and prior to that, Tax Manager at Ernst & Young.

Adrienne received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.S. in Accounting from the University of New Orleans. She is a certified public accountant.

Sarah M. Bricknell - Chief of Global Conflicts and Legal Ethics

Sarah Bricknell is Chief of Global Conflicts and Legal Ethics at Simpson Thacher. 

Sarah received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College, and is admitted to practice in New York, California, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Paul J. Brozo - Associate Director, Conflicts & Special Projects Paul Brozo is Associate Director, Conflicts & Special Projects at Simpson Thacher.

Paul received his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and his B.A. from Kalamazoo College. He is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Jason Cahill - Senior Conflicts Attorney Jason Cahill is a Senior Attorney in the Conflicts and Legal Ethics Group at Simpson Thacher. 

Jason received his J.D. from New York Law School and his B.S. from Texas Tech University, and is admitted to practice in New York.

Anne Callender - Chief Business Development Officer

Anne Callender is Chief Business Development Officer at Simpson Thacher. Anne was previously in-house legal counsel at Time Warner Inc. and prior to that, an Associate in Simpson Thacher’s Corporate Department.

Anne received her J.D. from the New York University School of Law and her B.S. from Georgetown University.

 

Nihara K. Choudhri - Pro Bono Attorney

Nihara K. Choudhri is a Pro Bono Attorney at Simpson Thacher. Her practice encompasses criminal justice, conviction relief, and voting rights matters, with a particular focus on racial justice.

Nihara received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She earned her B.A. from Columbia University, magna cum laude.

Amy Claydon - Director of Legal Recruiting Analytics

Amy Claydon is the Director of Legal Recruiting Analytics at Simpson Thacher, where she is responsible for leveraging technology and using data to enhance the recruiting process and summer associate program across the Firm. Amy has been with the Firm since 2002.

Amy received her B.A. from Western State Colorado University.

 

Bethany Cooper - Attorney and Associate Director of Conflicts and Legal Ethics Bethany Cooper is Associate Director with the Conflicts and Legal Ethics Group at Simpson Thacher.

Bethany received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and her B.A. from Union College. She is admitted to practice in New York. 

Susan M. Cordaro - Pro Bono Counsel

Susan Cordaro is Pro Bono Counsel at Simpson Thacher. Susan was previously a Senior Appellate Attorney at The Children’s Law Center, and prior to that, an Associate in Simpson Thacher’s Litigation Department. 

Susan received her B.A. from Dartmouth College and her J.D. from Fordham Law School, where she was a Stein Scholar and Editor-in-Chief of the Fordham Law Review. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Barbara S. Jones, of the United States District Court in the Southern District of New York.

Debra Cruz - Director of Human Resources

Debra Cruz is Director of Human Resources at Simpson Thacher, where she is responsible for overseeing the human resource functions relating to employee relations, creation and administration of policies and procedures, recruiting, retention, performance management, compensation and budget. Debra has been with the Firm since 2012.

Debra received her B.A. from the University of Minnesota. 

Lauren Cuneo - Attorney and Associate Director of Conflicts and Training Lauren Cuneo is Associate Director of Conflicts and Training at Simpson Thacher. 

Lauren received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. from Duke University, and is admitted to practice in New York.

Carlos Dávila-Caballero - Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer Carlos Dávila-Caballero is Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at Simpson Thacher, where he focuses on implementing and overseeing diversity goals, policies and programs.

Carlos received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School, where he later served as Assistant Dean for Career Development and Diversity Initiatives. He received his B.A. from the University of Central Florida. 

Caroline Fatchett - Director of Communications

Caroline Fatchett is Director of Communications at Simpson Thacher. Prior to joining the Firm, she was in marketing and communications for two other international law firms. She began her career as a paralegal.

Caroline received her B.A. in Politics from New York University.

Valery Federici - Knowledge Management Counsel Valery Federici is the Knowledge Management Lawyer for the Investment Funds Practice Group at Simpson Thacher. She joined the Firm in 2020.

Valery received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2010 and her B.A. from Wellesley College in 2005.

Andrew Fung - Director of Practice Management Andrew Fung is the Director of Practice Management for Funds.

Andrew received his B.S. from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business and is a CFA charterholder. 

Willis Gee - Chief Information Officer

Willis Gee is the Chief Information Officer at Simpson Thacher, where he is responsible for defining and executing a global technology strategy that enables the Firm’s business. 

Prior to joining the legal industry, Willis has held several senior executive leadership roles in technology at Fortune 500 companies such as Anthem Inc. and Cigna. Most recently, he was the Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer for the Corporate Services Division at Chubb Limited. 

A member of the Alumni Board of Directors, Willis received his B.S. from The College of William and Mary. He also holds a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Drexel University, as well as a doctorate in Global Public Health from Arizona School of Health Sciences.

Laura J. Gordon - Director of Global Planning & Operations Laura Gordon is the Director of Global Planning & Operations at Simpson Thacher. Laura joined the Firm in 2022.

Laura  received her M.B.A from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and her B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego.

Elizabeth Guzman - Director of Research and Intelligence Elizabeth Guzman is the Director of Research and Intelligence at Simpson Thacher. Elizabeth joined the Firm in 2021.
 
Elizabeth received her MLIS from Queens College and her B.S. in Legal Studies from John Jay College. 

Meghan Haynes - Director of Financial Analysis and Reporting Meghan Haynes is the Director of Financial Analysis and Reporting at Simpson Thacher. Meghan joined the Firm in 2010.

Leora Hertan - Director of Talent Management

Leora Hertan is the Director of Talent Management at Simpson Thacher. Leora joined the Firm in 2022.

Leora received her M.S. from Columbia University and her B.A. from Barnard College. 

Constantinos (Gus) Hotis - Associate General Counsel

Gus serves as Simpson Thacher’s Associate General Counsel, advising the Firm’s lawyers and professional staff on an array of legal, compliance and risk management matters. Prior to rejoining Simpson Thacher in 2023, Gus was an attorney in the office of the general counsel at another international law firm.

Gus received his J.D. and B.A. from the University of Chicago and an M.Phil from the University of Cambridge. He is admitted to practice in the state of New York.

Helen Howard - Director, Career Services and Alumni Relations

Helen Howard is Director of Career Services and Alumni Relations at Simpson Thacher. Prior to joining the Firm, Helen worked with a global legal, risk and compliance search firm. She began her career as a solicitor in the U.K.

Helen received her GDL (Graduate Diploma in Law) and LPC (Legal Practice Course) from BPP Law School and her M.A. in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh. She qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2009.

Sean Hughes - Tax Director

Sean Hughes is a Tax Director in the Accounting Department at Simpson Thacher. Sean has been with the Firm since 2008.

Sean received his M.S. in taxation from Seton Hall University and his B.A. in accounting from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

 

Edina Jung - Chief Human Resources Officer Edina Jung is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Simpson Thacher. Edina joined the Firm in 2021. Prior to joining the Firm, Edina was a Managing Director in Human Capital Management at Goldman Sachs, where she led several global functions including Benefits and Wellness, Global Mobility and Goldman Sachs University. 

Edina received her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College. 

Maria Kalogianis - Director of Billing and Collections

Maria Kalogianis is Director of Billing and Collections at Simpson Thacher, where she is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s global billing and collection functions. Maria has been with the Firm since 1999.

Maria received her B.A. from The College of New Rochelle. 

Danica Kirschenbaum - Attorney and Associate Director of Lateral Conflicts Danica Kirschenbaum is Associate Director of Lateral Conflicts at Simpson Thacher.

Danica received her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and her B.A. from Stony Brook University. She is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut.

Michael Koehler - Chief Architect & Data Officer

Michael Koehler is the Chief Technology Officer at Simpson Thacher, where he is responsible for technology standards and ensuring that the Firm’s information systems meet the Firm’s needs. Michael has been with the Firm since 1986.

Michael received his B.S. from Pace University, where he later worked as a System Administrator.

 

Cathleen Krautheim - Director, Legal Talent Development

Cathleen Krautheim is the Director, Legal Talent Development at Simpson Thacher, where she focuses on the attorney review process, orientation and integration, policies and procedures. Cathleen has been with the Firm since 2008.

Cathleen received her B.A. from Seton Hall University.

Tanisha Little - Director of Knowledge Management Tanisha Little is the Director of Knowledge Management at Simpson Thacher. Tanisha joined the Firm in 2020.
 
Tanisha received her J.D. from the New York University School of Law and her B.A. from Swarthmore College.

Matthew McPartlin - Director of Global Benefits and Wellness Matthew McPartlin is the Director of Global Benefits and Wellness at Simpson Thacher. Matt joined the firm in 2023. 

Matt received his M.S. from Manhattanville College and his B.F.A. from State University of New York at Fredonia.

Alison Melaugh - Director of Learning and Development

Alison Melaugh is the Director of Learning and Development at Simpson Thacher. Alison joined the Firm in 2022. Prior to joining the Firm, Alison spent over ten years in learning and development at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Alison received her M.A. from Columbia University.

Sanela Miller - Director of Practice Management Sanela Miller is the Director of Practice Management for M&A. Sanela joined the Firm in 2022.

Gretchen Moguel - Chief Business Development Officer

Gretchen Moguel is Chief Business Development Officer at Simpson Thacher. Prior to joining the Firm, she was in business development and marketing for two other international law firms. She began her career in client service in the technology, consumer and entertainment groups at Hill & Knowlton, Inc.

Gretchen received her B.A. in American Studies from Fordham University.

Nadine F. Mompremier - Pro Bono Attorney Nadine F. Mompremier is a Pro Bono Attorney at Simpson Thacher. In her role, she oversees the Firm’s corporate and transactional pro bono work for the Firm. Prior to rejoining the Firm, Nadine was the Director of Pro Bono and Summer Programs at Columbia Law School and an Associate in Simpson Thacher’s Corporate Department.

Kristin Nicoll is Director of Conflicts and Legal Ethics at Simpson Thacher. Kristin has been with the Firm since 2007. Prior to joining the Firm, Kristin was a corporate associate and worked on a variety of M&A, financing and general corporate matters. 

Kristin received her J.D. from Syracuse University and her B.Sc. from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and is admitted to practice in New York.

Susan Osnato - Chief of Staff, Office of the Chair

Susan Osnato is Chief of Staff to Chair of the Executive Committee at Simpson Thacher. She focuses on assessing, advancing and driving efficiencies to support the strategic priorities and initiatives of the Executive Chair and the Executive Committee—the Firm’s governing body. Susan has been with Simpson Thacher for more than 20 years and previously served as the Firm’s Chief Legal Talent Officer.

Susan received her M.A. from Columbia University Teachers College and her B.A. from Washington and Lee University.

America Perez - Director of Legal Training & Development America Perez is the Director of Legal Training and Development at Simpson Thacher. America joined the Firm in 2022. Prior to joining the Firm, America spent over 18 years at Deutsche Bank, where she led global learning and development teams for several business lines within the bank.

Brian Roe - Managing Attorney and Director of Managing Clerk’s Office

Brian Roe is the Managing Attorney at Simpson Thacher and is Director of the Firm’s Managing Clerk’s office. Brian has been with the Firm since 2007.

Jared E. Sint - Assistant General Counsel

Jared E. Sint serves as Simpson Thacher’s Assistant General Counsel. Previously, Jared worked in the Firm’s Public Company Advisory Practice assisting public companies on various aspects of compliance with U.S. securities laws and corporate governance. 

He received his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law where he was a staff member of the New York International Law Review, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany. He is admitted to practice in New York.

Kelly Stevens - Chief Operating Officer

Kelly Stevens is the Chief Operating Officer at Simpson Thacher, where she is responsible for the administration of the Firm’s operations worldwide. She joined the Firm in 2021 after serving as Chief Operating Officer at another international law firm for more than a decade.

Prior to joining the legal industry, Kelly held several leadership roles at Lehman Brothers/Barclays Capital, including Chief Operating Officer for the Global Financial Institutions Group and Chief Administrative Officer for the Global Finance Group. She was also a leader in the organization’s diversity programs.

A member of the Board of Directors of The Door, Kelly received her A.B. from Harvard College and her M.B.A. from Columbia University.

Deena Subar - Director of Strategic Intelligence

Deena Subar is the Director of Strategic Intelligence at Simpson Thacher. Prior to joining the Firm, Deena spent over fifteen years in strategic intelligence at another major law firm.

Deena received her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and her B.S. from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Pamela Terry - Conflicts Attorney Pam Terry is an attorney within the Conflicts and Legal Ethics group at Simpson Thacher. 

Pam received her J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Fordham University School of Law School, and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Barnard College.  She previously clerked for the District Court of the Virgin Islands and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  She is admitted to practice in New York.    

Julia Vassalotti - Conflicts Attorney Julia Vassalotti is an Attorney in the Conflicts and Legal Ethics Group at Simpson Thacher.

Julia received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.S. from Boston College, and is admitted to practice in New York.

Nicole Vives - Director of Operations and Sustainability Nicole Vives is Director of Operations and Sustainability at Simpson Thacher. Nicole joined the Firm in 2017.

Nicole received her M.B.A. from Georgetown University and her B.S. from Drexel University.

Laurent Wiesel - Knowledge Management Lawyer Laurent Wiesel is the Knowledge Management Lawyer for the Litigation Practice Group at Simpson Thacher.

He joined the Firm in 2020. Laurent received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2001 and his B.A. from Colgate University in 1998.
