Rachel Sparks Bradley is a Partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department. She represents clients in high-profile securities litigations, including securities fraud and 10b-5 matters, derivative litigations, responding to shareholder demands, and investigations. In addition to securities matters, Rachel regularly defends corporations and financial institutions in complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts.

Rachel’s representations include:

  • JPMorgan in multiple antitrust and CEA class and individual actions concerning the alleged manipulation of LIBOR and other–IBOR benchmarks;
  • Countrywide Home Loans in a dismissal with prejudice of claims and an appellate win affirming a trial court decision in closely-followed residential mortgage-backed securities cases;
  • MultiPlan in connection with seminal Delaware Chancery litigation arising from its $11 billion de-SPAC business combination with Churchill Capital III;
  • Pfizer and its affiliates Wyeth and Pharmacia in multiple 10b-5 class actions alleging misrepresentations relating to Celebrex®, Bextra® and Pristiq®;
  • Board of Pacific Gas and Electric Company in federal securities litigation and shareholder derivative lawsuits related to the California wildfires of October 2017 and November 2018;
  • Weight Watchers in dismissal of securities class actions alleging false and misleading statements regarding financial performance;
  • Ally in dismissal of class action litigation related to alleged “data exposure”;
  • Frontdoor, American Home Shield, and ServiceMaster (now Terminix) in contract and fraud litigation related to the terminated acquisition of a startup;
  • Jabil in contract litigation against Beckman and Danaher regarding a long-term electronics manufacturing contract, including appellate win reversing dismissal of Jabil’s fraud counterclaims against Beckman and Danaher;
  • Global bank in SEC investigations related to disclosures and conflicts of interest concerning an asset management program; and
  • Great Wolf Resorts in a contract and tortious interference suit brought by Colonnade Properties.

Rachel is also committed to pro bono work and regularly represents individuals and families seeking asylum and other immigration relief in the United States. Most recently, she was successful in obtaining a grant of asylum for a Honduran refugee and her 11-year-old son. She was honored at Sanctuary for Families’ Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Awards in recognition of her extensive representation of a victim of human trafficking before federal immigration authorities and in cooperation with the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office. Rachel also represented a disabled mother and son in housing litigation related to a significant rental overcharge, including obtaining an appellate win reversing an adverse summary judgment decision.

Rachel received her J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School, where she was a Managing Editor of the Cornell Law Review and an author of the Legal Information Institute’s Supreme Court Bulletin. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from George Fox University, where she was a National Richter Scholar. Prior to attending law school, Rachel taught a variety of high school and adult basic education courses for several years at Lower Columbia College in Washington state.
