Based in New York, Hui Lin is a Partner in the Firm’s Capital Markets Practice. She advises private equity sponsors, financial institutions, corporate issuers and leading investment banks in connection with a broad range of transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, registered and 144A high yield and investment grade debt offerings and liability management transactions, as well as general corporate and securities law matters. Hui also has significant experience in acquisition financings and regularly provides securities law advice in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Her diverse practice spans a broad range of industries, from media and technology, healthcare, financial services to oil and gas. Hui’s clients include Silver Lake Partners, EQT, Global Infrastructure Partners, The Invus Group, Sixth Street, CAVA, Dell Technologies, First Advantage, BellRing Brands, Zayo Group, Global Blue and JPMorgan Chase & Co. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Hui has been named as a Law360 “Rising Star” in Capital Markets and recognized as a “Notable Practitioner” in Capital Markets by IFLR1000.

Hui also has significant experience in acquisition financings and regularly provides securities law advice in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Hui joined Simpson Thacher following her graduation in 2007 from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She received her LL.B. from University College London, also in 2007. Hui is admitted to practice in New York.
