John Osborne is Counsel in the Firm’s Competition Practice in London. His practice focuses primarily on EU and UK competition law matters including merger control, strategic alliances, joint ventures and commercial agreements and monopoly and cartel investigations. He has represented clients before the UK’s Office of Fair Trading and Competition Commission, the European Commission and the EU’s General Court (the principal court of appeal for the European Commission) on both transactional and cartel matters. John also has extensive experience with respect to UK government regulation in the energy, water and airport sectors.

John Osborne is a Counsel in the Firm’s antitrust and competition practice in London. His practice focuses primarily on EU and UK competition law matters including merger control, strategic alliances, joint ventures and commercial agreements and monopoly and cartel investigations.

He has represented clients before the UK’s Office of Fair Trading and Competition Commission, the European Commission and the EU’s General Court (the principal court of appeal for the European Commission) on both transactional and cartel matters. John also has extensive experience with respect to UK government regulation in the energy, water and airport sectors.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Osborne spent over 30 years as a partner with Clifford Chance, retiring as partner in 2010.

Mr. Osborne received his LL.B. from Bristol University in 1968 and LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1969.
