Richard Fenyes is a Partner in the Firm’s Corporate Department.  He represents several leading private equity sponsors, including The Blackstone Group, Goldman Sachs Capital Partners and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., in connection with acquisition financing, focusing on high yield offerings and bridge financing.  He also advises clients in connection with IPOs and other registered and private offerings of debt and equity securities, as well as general corporate and securities law matters.

Mr. Fenyes provided acquisition finance advice on the acquisitions of First Data Corporation, DJO Inc., Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc., USI Holdings Inc., Kinder Morgan Inc., Pinnacle Foods Group Inc., HCA Inc., Encore Medical Corp., EDMC, Avago Technologies, SunGard Data Systems Inc., Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc., Nalco Company and TRW Automotive.

Mr. Fenyes’s acquisition representation of issuers and selling stockholders in equity offerings includes the Initial Public Offering and secondary offerings of common stock of Nalco Holding Company, secondary offerings common stock of Gartner, Inc., the Initial Public Offering of Pinnacle Airlines and the Initial Public Offering of Peabody Energy Corporation.

Mr. Fenyes received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1995 and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992. Mr. Fenyes joined Simpson Thacher in 1995.
