Simpson Thacher Represents Administrative Agent and Lead Arranger for Halcón Resources’ Bankruptcy Exit Financing

Simpson Thacher represented Bank of Montreal, as administrative agent and lead arranger, in the $750 million exit facility in connection with Halcón Resources Corporation’s (“Halcón”) financial restructuring and emergence from bankruptcy. The exit financing was effectuated through a plan of reorganization filed with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas on August 7, 2019 and was consummated upon Halcón’s exit from bankruptcy on October 8, 2019.

Halcón is an independent oil and gas company engaged in the acquisition, production, exploration and development of onshore oil and natural gas properties in the United States.
