Joe Conahan Quoted in Law360 on Massachusetts Biotech Industry Activity
Partner Joe Conahan was quoted in a Law360 article, “How Attys Are Riding The Mass. Biotech ‘Roller Coaster’.” The article discussed current venture capital funding and merger activity in the Massachusetts biotech industry following a dip in H1 2025. Joe explained that, after a post-pandemic life sciences boom, “We’ve seen a return to more disciplined investment and capital deployment” in the Greater Boston area and that while deals are getting done, the larger environment remains fragile. “Deals can evaporate in a heartbeat, so being able to move quickly, particularly on the sell-side, and appreciating how fragile the deal environment is, will serve clients and practitioners well,” he added.
