Simpson Thacher is representing an affiliate of KKR in connection with the sale of a majority stake in Avendus Capital Private Limited (“Avendus”), a leading India-based financial services firm, to Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd. (“Mizuho Securities”), a consolidated subsidiary of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. The transaction is subject to receipt of regulatory approvals.
Established in 1999 in Mumbai, India, Avendus is India’s largest investment bank and a full-services financial firm, offering services in institutional equities, wealth management, and asset management. After completion of the transaction, Avendus will become a consolidated subsidiary of Mizuho Securities.
The firm also represented KKR in its investment in Avendus.
