Simpson Thacher advised Tortuga Resorts (“Tortuga”), a joint venture between an affiliate of KSL Capital Partners, LLC and Rodina, in its $2 billion acquisition of 14 all-inclusive resort assets located across Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica from Hyatt Hotels Corporation (“Hyatt”). In connection with closing, Tortuga and Hyatt has entered into 50-year management agreements for 13 of the 14 properties in the portfolio.
