Mark Skerry Quoted in Foreign Investment Watch on CFIUS Known Investor Program
Partner Mark Skerry was quoted in a Foreign Investment Watch article titled, “Will Treasury Streamline Foreign Investment Review Process?” The article discussed the Treasury Department’s Request for Information on its Known Investor Program, as well as on ways that CFIUS can streamline its authorities and process overall. In discussing how the Treasury decided to expand the RFI to encompass feedback beyond the Known Investor Program, Mark noted, “there may be a renewed emphasis on evaluating and implementing demonstrable changes to the status quo at CFIUS and so it is not surprising that Treasury is also using this RFI as an opportunity to solicit broader input from the public beyond just the Known Investor Program.”
