Josh Bonnie, Jonathan Ozner and Katharine Thompson Named 2026 “Dealmakers of the Year” by The American Lawyer
Josh Bonnie, Co-Head of the Firm’s Global Capital Markets Practice, and Capital Markets Partners Jonathan Ozner and Katharine Thompson have been named among The American Lawyer’s “Dealmakers of the Year” for 2026 in recognition of their work advising Medline on its initial public offering. The transaction was the largest IPO of 2025, the largest healthcare IPO in history and the largest private equity‑backed IPO ever.
As reported by The American Lawyer, the Simpson Thacher team navigated a complex and fluid macroeconomic environment to deliver a successful offering that raised more than $7 billion in gross proceeds. Josh, Jonathan and Katharine noted that the transaction presented a unique convergence of market and structural challenges, requiring close coordination across a more than 30‑attorney, cross‑disciplinary team to execute at scale and with precision.
