Amy Mahon and James R. Howe Named “Most Influential Private Equity Lawyers” by Private Equity News

Amy Mahon, Co-Head of the Firm’s Energy and Infrastructure practice and James R. Howe, Co-Head of the Firm’s European M&A Practice, have both been named to Private Equity News’ list of the “Twenty Most Influential Private Equity Lawyers” for 2026.

Amy was recognized as “a star lawyer in the infrastructure and private equity sector” and highlighted for her recent work advising EQT Infrastructure on selling a 30% minority stake in Nordic Ferry Infrastructure to a consortium, as well as representing KKR on a minority stake sale of Viridor Group, an energy-from-waste provider.

James was selected for his work on “a series of deals worth approximately £12 billion over the past year”, as well as advising on three recent transactions valued at around $1 billion each between December 2025 and January 2026. This included advising U.K. AI startup Faculty on its $1 billion sale to Accenture; Oakley Capital on its $1.3 billion acquisition of debt services firm Global Loan Agency Services; and funds managed by HIG on the $1 billion sale of Interpath to Bridgepoint.
