Simpson Thacher is advising Taylor Morrison Home Corporation (“Taylor Morrison”) in connection with its announced acquisition by Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (“Berkshire Hathaway”) for $72.50 per share in cash, for a total equity value of approximately US$6.8 billion and a total enterprise value of approximately US$8.5 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including approval by Taylor Morrison shareholders and receipt of required regulatory approvals.
