MSU Green Energy S.A. Completes Reopening of Senior Notes Offering
Simpson Thacher represented MSU Green Energy S.A. (“MSU Green”) in connection with its offering of US$130 million principal amount of additional 9.750% Senior Notes due 2036. The additional notes constitute a reopening of the US$400 million in aggregate principal amount of notes initially issued on June 16, 2026, increasing the aggregate principal amount of the outstanding notes to US$530 million. Certain development finance institutions participated in the offering of notes, which was conducted pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act.
MSU Green intends to use the proceeds of the offering to fund capital expenditures for renewable energy projects, including solar and battery energy storage systems, as well as for general corporate purposes.
MSU Green is Argentina’s largest pure-play renewable energy platform in terms of installed renewable generation capacity, with a diversified portfolio of hydroelectric and solar power generation assets.
