Jie Min is a Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Corporate Department, where she focuses on mergers and acquisitions and private equity. She regularly advises corporate clients and private equity funds in connection with a variety of public and private M&A, leveraged buyouts, minority and strategic investments, and other corporate matters across a broad range of industries.

Jie has been recognized as “Notable Practitioner” for M&A by IFLR1000 China, and a “Rising Star” and “Leading Associate” for Corporate and M&A: Foreign Firms and Private Equity: Foreign Firms by Legal 500 Asia Pacific annually since 2023.

Together with her colleagues on Simpson Thacher’s Great China M&A team, Jie has successfully executed numerous landmark transactions—earning the group multiple “Deal of the Year” and “PE/MA Firm of the Year” awards. Most importantly, clients consistently commend the team for its creative problem-solving and exceptional ability to navigate high-stakes, complex deals.

Yang Wang - Partner Yang Wang leads Simpson Thacher's China M&A/PE team from Beijing, advising private equity sponsors and multinational corporations on complex cross-border transactions. Yang’s practice spans three core areas: leveraged buyouts and private equity investments for leading global and Asia-based sponsors, including Apax, Blackstone, Hillhouse, KKR, Macquarie, PAG, Primavera and Warburg Pincus; strategic investments and corporate finance transactions for corporate clients, including Alibaba, Ant, ByteDance, Joyy, Pony.ai, TAL Education, Xpeng and Zeekr; and outbound investment transactions for China-based clients, including ChemChina, China Gold, China Railway, Chinalco and Zoomlion. Yang has been credited with at least one “Deal of the Year” every year in the past decade by various publications and agencies.
