Isaac Rethy is Counsel in the Firm’s Litigation Department. Isaac represents clients in a wide range of high-profile complex commercial litigation matters, including securities, bankruptcy and insurance litigation. He also works on a number of significant pro bono issues, with particular focus on criminal justice reform, voting rights and immigration defense.

  • Obtaining New York Court of Appeals affirmance of ruling dismissing claims for breaches of representations and warranties as time-barred
  • Litigating federal class action lawsuits in Mississippi challenging discriminatory policing practices and the state’s lifetime voting ban on convicted individuals on constitutional grounds
  • Representing a major financial institution in litigation arising from the bankruptcy of the Polaroid Corporation and the aftermath of the Thomas Petters Ponzi scheme

Isaac received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2009, where he was Articles Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. He received his B.A. from Xavier University in 2005.
