As a member of our Private Funds Practice based in London, Seema Shah focuses on the sponsoring and operation of private investment funds, and other aspects of private investing in alternative asset classes, including the structuring of executive carried interest and co-investment arrangements and separate account arrangements. Seema has advised some of Europe’s leading sponsors on some of the largest fundraisings in Europe, including Apax Partners, BC Partners, Coller Capital, CVC Capital Partners and CVC Credit Partners. Having been named a “Rising Star” in Asset Management by Law360, Seema was also recently recognized among the “25 Rising Stars of Private Equity in Europe” for 2021 by Financial News.

A recognized emerging leader in fund formation, Seema has been honored as one of two lawyers named among the “25 Rising Stars of Private Equity in Europe” for 2021 by Financial News and named a “Rising Star” in Asset Management by Law360 in 2018.

Seema received her B.A. (Hons) in Law from Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge in 2003 and was awarded her Diploma in Legal Practice with Distinction from Nottingham Law School in 2004.
