Jordan Cross’s practice focuses on the organization, structuring and operation of private investment funds across a range of strategies. Jordan represents some of the largest and most prominent sponsors of private equity funds, including Silver Lake, Blackstone, Carlyle, KKR and Greyhound Capital Partners. He advises on a variety of related matters, including separate accounts, funds-of-one and similar custom arrangements, as well as carried interest and similar internal GP arrangements and strategic initiatives involving private fund sponsors.

Jordan Cross is a Partner in the Private Funds Practice at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. He focuses on the formation and operation of private equity funds, including buyout funds, growth equity funds, infrastructure funds, real estate funds, distressed and other debt funds and co-investment funds, as well as separate accounts, funds-of-one and similar custom arrangements. His practice also includes advising on carried interest and similar internal GP arrangements and strategic initiatives involving private fund sponsors.

Jordan regularly represents some of the largest and most well-known private fund sponsors, including Silver Lake, Blackstone, Carlyle and KKR. He has advised on numerous private equity fund formations, including:

  • Silver Lake in connection with multiple fundraises, including the establishment of Silver Lake Partners VI ($20 billion), Silver Lake Partners V ($15 billion) and Silver Lake Alpine ($2.4 billion)
  • Carlyle in connection with multiple fundraises, including Carlyle Partners VII ($18.5 billion), Carlyle Europe Partners V (€6.4 billion), Carlyle Asia Partners V ($6.55 billion ) and Carlyle Global Financial Services Partners III ($1.1 billion)

Jordan received his J.D. in 2013 from Columbia Law School and his B.A. in 2010 from McGill University. He is admitted to practice in New York.
