Chet A. Kronenberg is a Partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department.  He has represented financial institutions and other clients in a wide range of high-profile complex commercial litigation matters, including securities, corporate control and consumer actions.  Mr. Kronenberg has represented The Blackstone Group, Citibank, ComVest, GenSpring Family Offices, JPMorgan Chase, Lion Capital, Natixis Caspian, Rosemont Solebury, SAC Private Capital, Sankaty Advisors, Siris Capital and ZelnickMedia, among many others.

Recent securities matters on which Mr. Kronenberg has advised include:  Lion Capital in federal securities and derivative actions in connection with its relationship with American Apparel; JPMorgan Chase in litigation concerning auction rate securities; and JPMorgan Chase in securities action arising from the collapse of Enron. 

Mr. Kronenberg also has substantial experience in litigation arising out of corporate acquisitions and related transactions, including the acquisition of Tekelec by an investor group led by Siris Capital; the acquisition of Alloy Media by an investor group led by ZelnickMedia; the acquisition of MedQuist Inc. by MedQuist Holdings; the acquisition of Airvana by an investor group led by SAC Private Capital; the acquisition of Equity Office Properties Trust by affiliates of The Blackstone Group; and the acquisition of Hilton Hotels by affiliates of The Blackstone Group.

Finally, Mr. Kronenberg has been actively defending clients in consumer class action lawsuits, including Blackstone in a civil enforcement action brought by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office concerning the alleged actions of certain of its portfolio companies; Citibank in a lawsuit arising out of its relationship with Commercial Money Center; Pinnacle Foods in a consumer class action lawsuit concerning the cooking instruction on its packaging; and SiriusXM Radio in consumer class action lawsuits concerning its products and advertising.

Mr. Kronenberg was elected to membership in the Firm in 2001.  He received his B.A. from Tufts University in 1990 and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 1993.
