Jeffrey E. Ostrow is the Chair of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Group and Co-Head of the West Coast Litigation Department. 

For more than 20 years, Mr. Ostrow has litigated and tried IP cases for both large and small technologies companies including Intel, Cisco, HP, CSR, Apple, Seagate, and Avistar Communications.  Mr. Ostrow is also responsible for the corporate side of the IP practice at the Firm and is regularly called upon to counsel clients on complicated IP issues in a variety of deal structures.  He is a frequent lecturer on IP issues and has taught at Stanford Law School and is currently teaching IP Strategy at Berkeley Law School.

Mr. Ostrow was recently named to Daily Journal’s Top 100 IP Lawyers in California for 2012.   He was also recognized as a litigation star in the 2014 edition of Euromoney’s Benchmark Litigation for Intellectual Property. Previously, he was named to Daily Journal's 2009 Top 100 Leading Lawyers in California. Mr. Ostrow is consistently listed as a Super Lawyer and in Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Magazine’s “IAM Licensing 250 – The World’s Leading Patent and Technology Licensing Practitioners.”  

He was elected to membership in the Firm in 2000.  He received his A.B. from the University of Chicago in 1987 and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 1990.
