Kirsten Davis is Counsel in the Firm’s Corporate Department. Ms. Davis represents issuers and underwriters in both public and private offerings of equity and debt securities and advises clients on general corporate and securities law matters.
Ms. Davis regularly represents major investment banking firms, including Banc of America Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Santander Investment Securities, in offerings by companies organized in Latin America and the Caribbean, such as América Móvil, Alestra, Braskem, FEMSA, Petrotemex, Tecnisa and Teléfonos de México. Ms. Davis also advises both U.S. and non-U.S. corporate clients, including, most recently, Best Buy, Cap Cana, Energy Future Holdings, Microsoft and Toys “R” Us, in offerings of debt securities and liability management transactions. Ms. Davis also represented Telefónica Móviles and Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo--SABESP in their respective initial public offerings in the United States.
Ms. Davis graduated from Carleton College and New York University School of Law. Ms. Davis joined Simpson Thacher in 1998, and is a member of the New York bar. Ms. Davis is fluent in English and Spanish.
