Kenneth R. Logan is Of Counsel at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and has handled a broad range of complex litigations and transactions. He is consistently ranked as one of the leading antitrust lawyers in the United States.
Mr. Logan has developed a substantial background in issues affecting the healthcare, financial services, media and entertainment, telecommunications, pharmaceutical and various manufacturing industries, regularly providing antitrust advice on both US and international matters. Mr. Logan has conducted a range of complex commercial litigations and arbitrations involving Express Scripts, Inc., ITT Industries, Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts, Princeton University, Seagram, NBC Universal, Viacom, Warner Music Group, Wyeth and others. He has also provided advice in connection with obtaining approval of a large number of acquisitions and joint ventures in the US, Europe and elsewhere.
Mr. Logan is representing Express Scripts in antitrust actions in Alabama and Texas, Warner Music Group in price fixing actions in New York, Wyeth in a conspiracy action in New York, and Viacom in actions in California that challenge the manner in which cable television programming is licensed to distributors and consumers. Recently, he represented Viacom and Paramount in an antitrust action tried before a jury in Texas and affirmed by the Fifth Circuit asserting conspiracy and price discrimination claims on behalf of independent video retailers against the major motion picture studios and Blockbuster. He has represented American Home Products (now Wyeth) and has acted as lead counsel for all pharmaceutical manufacturer defendants in the Brand Name Prescription Drugs Antitrust Litigations, an array of federal and state court actions raising conspiracy and price discrimination claims.
Mr. Logan graduated from Princeton University in 1967 and from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1972. He frequently writes and speaks on US and international antitrust issues.
