Michael V. Corrigan is a retired litigation partner. An experienced trial practitioner, Mr. Corrigan has represented clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters involving jury and non-jury trials in federal and state courts. Most recently, Mr. Corrigan has been in charge of the representation of BAT Industries, Brown & Williamson's London-based parent, as national coordinating counsel and lead trial counsel in tobacco litigation throughout the United States.

Mr. Corrigan joined Simpson Thacher in 1969 and became a partner in 1977. He received his A.B. from Cornell University in 1966 and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1969, where he was Writing and Research Editor for the Fordham Law Review.

Mr. Corrigan is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is also a member of the American Bar Association.
