Rob Pfister is Counsel at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP where he is a member of the Litigation Department. Mr. Pfister works on a wide variety of securities, ERISA, insurance and bankruptcy matters. He joined the Firm’s New York office in 2003 following a two-year clerkship for a federal district judge in New Haven, Connecticut, and relocated to the Firm’s Los Angeles office in 2005.
A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mr. Pfister received his B.A. from Indiana University in 1998 and his J.D. from NYU School of Law in 2001. Mr. Pfister is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in California, New York, Connecticut and Indiana, as well as the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Supreme Court Historical Society, and was named a 2009 “Rising Star” by Southern California Super Lawyers (Law & Politics and Los Angeles magazines).
