Mr. Sohn is a Partner in the Firm’s Corporate Department. He has worked on numerous capital markets and M&A transactions with companies in Korea, which have included LG.Philips LCD, Kumho Tire, SK Telecom, KT, KDIC, KEPCO, The Republic of Korea, C&M, POSCO, KT&G, Hyundai Motor Company, Shinhan Financial Group and Kookmin Bank as well as most major investment banks. He has regularly represented issuers and underwriters in equity and debt offerings in both SEC registered and Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings. He has also worked on M&A transactions involving private equity funds as well as joint ventures and other forms of investments.
Mr. Sohn graduated from Seoul National University, magna cum laude, and received a J.D. degree from Columbia Law School in 1996, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He also received an M.B.A. degree from University of California at Los Angeles. He is a native Korean speaker.
