The Firm's Korea Practice has garnered recognition from notable legal publications, including top rankings in Chambers Asia and The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for the last several years.
Simpson Thacher's Korea practice is active in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments, both public and private, inbound and outbound. The practice is well-balanced in providing legal services to issuers and underwriters, purchasers, sellers, lenders and financial and strategic investors alike. The Firm has participated in over 120 mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions in Korea since the Asian financial crisis of 1998, making the Firm one of the premier international law firms during this period.
