Head of the Firm’s National Security Regulatory Practice Mick Tuesley, Partner Mark Skerry and Associate Michael Kalinin authored an article, which was published by Law360 titled, “CFIUS Initiative May Smooth Way For Some Foreign Investors.” The article detailed how the Treasury Department, as chair of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (“CFIUS”), announced its progression of the implementation of the Known Investor Program and published a request for information (“RFI”) from the public on the development of the program. The article highlighted the contemplated criteria in the RFI and what applicants to the program will be required to provide and the public input on key facets of the program the RFI is seeking. It further provided an assessment of how participation in the program may impact participants.
