Martin D. Jacobson is a retired corporate partner.  He advised clients in structured aircraft and other equipment financings.  He represented sponsors, lenders, underwriters and other credit providers.  Mr. Jacobson has a broad range of experience involving the financing of aircraft, other transportation equipment, infrastructure and industrial property.

Mr. Jacobson is the founding Chair of the Committee on Project Finance, City of New York Bar Association (1996-1999) and is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association.  He is listed in the International Who’s Who of Project Finance Lawyers, and the International Who’s Who of Aviation Lawyers and in The World’s Leading Lawyers (Chambers Global) and The Best Lawyers in America.  He has written and spoken on project finance and structured equipment financings on numerous occasions.

Mr. Jacobson joined Simpson Thacher in 1979 and became a partner in 1984.  He received his B.S. summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1969, his M.B.A. from New York University Stern School of Business in 1973 and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1976.
