She has particular expertise in financial services and investment funds disputes and contentious matters arising from insolvency situations.

Grace’s experience includes the representation of:

  • An oil and gas executive in High Court proceedings to recover compensation due in connection with an offshore drilling joint venture.

Notable experience prior to joining Simpson Thacher includes representing:

  • An investment management firm in complex, cross-border proceedings relating to a substantial fraud, involving proceedings in multiple European jurisdictions.
  • A telecommunications business in multiple sets of High Court proceedings airing out of a post-closing dispute including proceedings for breach of contract, tortious claims, applications for urgent injunctive relief and strike out and/or summary judgment.  
  • A pharmaceuticals company obtaining a successful High Court judgment in relation to the interpretation of a royalty agreement.
  • An investment management firm in a significant partnership dispute involving multiple High Court and arbitration proceedings.

Grace Boos is Counsel in the Firm’s Litigation Practice. Based in the Firm’s London office, Grace represents institutional clients in a variety of complex commercial litigations and high-value commercial disputes, including contractual and corporate disputes. Grace has acted for clients across a range of industries. She has particular expertise in financial services and investment funds disputes and contentious matters arising from insolvency situations. Grace has acted in disputes conducted in U.K. and other international courts (including practising in the Cayman Islands) and in international arbitration, including LCIA, ICC and UNCITRAL arbitrations.  She has significant trial experience. Grace additionally regularly advises clients on the impact of the U.K.’s financial sanctions regimes.
