Kristy Fields focuses her practice on compensation and benefit-related issues that arise in connection with mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, new and joint ventures and other corporate transactions. She regularly advises private equity firms, public companies and senior executives on the design, negotiation and implementation of employment agreements, equity compensation, performance incentives, deferred compensation, change in control protections and management participation in buyouts and new ventures.

Kristy Fields is Counsel in Simpson Thacher’s Houston office, and a member of the Firm’s Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Practice. Kristy focuses her practice on compensation and benefit-related issues that arise in connection with mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, new and joint ventures and other corporate transactions. She regularly advises private equity firms, public companies and senior executives on the design, negotiation and implementation of employment agreements, equity compensation, performance incentives, deferred compensation, change in control protections and management participation in buyouts and new ventures.

Kristy received her B.A. in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego in 2005 and her M.A. in Forensic Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University in 2008. She received her J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law in 2014 where she was a Senior Executive Editor of New York University Law Review. She is admitted to practice in New York and Texas.
