Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Partner Gillian Emmett Moldowan was quoted in an article titled, “Boards Navigate ‘Tug-of-War’ on Exec Comp Disclosures,” which was published in Agenda, a Financial Times publication. The article discussed the importance of boards of directors paying attention to how the SEC’s continues its review of executive compensation disclosures. Gillian noted how “Investors consistently say that clear customized disclosure that speaks with specificity to the objectives and outcomes of a particular company is most useful.” She further added that “this is true under the current disclosure obligations and should remain true under any adjustments to the requirement.” Gillian also explained that for board members, it's important to work with management and advisors to ensure that their company's disclosures accurately tell the story of the company's executive compensation program and the decisions made by the board in guiding the process.
