Healthcare Partner Vanessa Burrows spoke at the Health Care Transaction Conference on Tuesday, April 16, which was hosted by the American Health Law Association (AHLA). Her presentation was titled “Digital Health and AI Transactions,” and provided an overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) as well as the current uses of AI and ML in healthcare. The program outlined the legal risk areas for transactions, including privacy, fraud and abuse, and FDA regulation of medical devices, as well as example representations and warranties. Vanessa also presented on recent developments in digital health and AI, including enforcement actions and regulatory guidance.
