Jana I. Hymowitz

A Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Practice, Jana Hymowitz represents public companies, private equity investors and their portfolio companies and other clients across all aspects of executive compensation and other employee benefit matters, with an emphasis on issues arising in mergers and acquisitions and a variety of capital market and securities transactions. Jana advises clients on the structuring, negotiation and implementation of executive employment and incentive compensation arrangements, as well as in related public company disclosures and other corporate governance matters.

• Nuvei in its announced $2.75 billion acquisition of Payoneer

• KKR in the launch of Helix Digital Infrastructure and its announced acquisition, with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, of a minority equity interest in Sempra Infrastructure Partners
• Blackstone in various matters, including its acquisition of Enverus and the acquisition of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. by a joint venture formed by MW Group and funds affiliated with Blackstone Real Estate and DivcoWest, with an enterprise value of approximately $2.3 billion

Jana received her LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law in 2016 and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School in 2014, where she was an Executive Articles and Symposia Editor of the Journal of Law and Policy and Co-Chair of Brooklyn Law Students for the Public Interest. She received her B.A. in Political Studies from Bard College in 2008.
