GTCR Announces Strategic Minority Investment in Solmetex

Simpson Thacher represented GTCR in connection with its simultaneous signing and closing of a strategic, structured minority investment in Solmetex, a leading provider of dental products, systems, and consumables such as amalgam separation, waterline safety solutions, dental isolation technology, and regenerative biomaterials. The staged investment structure, with potential funding of up to $200 million, will support the acceleration of Solmetex's expansion strategy through both organic growth, leveraging the Company's current product portfolio and solutions, as well as through strategic value-enhancing acquisitions.

Solmetex provides amalgam separation solutions to over 85,000 dental offices across the United States. Through the acquisition and integration of complementary products, Solmetex has expanded its portfolio to include solutions for dental waterline treatment and maintenance, modern dental isolation solutions and regenerative biomaterials.
