Sunny Cheong is a Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Capital Markets Practice in our New York office. Sunny represents issuers and private equity sponsors on a wide range of securities transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on and secondary offerings of common and preferred equity, high yield debt offerings, acquisition financings, liability management and other complex structuring matters. Sunny also has extensive experience in convertible securities transactions, private investments in public equity (PIPEs) and other hybrid capital solutions. 

She represents clients in a variety of industries, including consumer/retail, fintech, financial services, food and beverage, healthcare and technology. Sunny’s client representations include KKR, Silver Lake, Global Medical Response, Onto, CSG, Academy Sports & Outdoors, Avantor, National Vision and PTC.
