Simpson Thacher Represents Placement Agents in Follow-On Equity Offering of Cury Construtora e Incorporadora S.A.
The Firm represented Itau BBA USA Securities, Inc., BTG Pactual US Capital, LLC and BofA Securities, Inc. as placement agents in connection with a follow-on equity offering by Cury Construtora e Incorporadora S.A. (“Cury Construtora”) of 16,172,506 common shares. The offering raised approximately R$600 million in gross proceeds.
The common shares were offered to certain qualified institutional buyers under Rule 144A in the United States and to non-U.S. persons outside the United States in reliance upon Regulation S, simultaneously to a registered offering to professional investors in Brazil. Cury Construtora common shares are currently traded on the B3 stock exchange under the symbol “CURY3.”
Cury Construtora concentrates its business on middle-income and low-income real estate developments with a focus on the development and construction of residential projects in the metropolitan areas of the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
