Bruce D. Angiolillo and Robert E. Spatt to Moderate Panels at PLI’s 44th Annual "Securities Regulation Institute"
Simpson Thacher litigation partner Bruce D. Angiolillo and M&A and corporate governance partner Robert E. Spatt will moderate panels at Practising Law Institute’s "Securities Regulation Institute" in New York City on November 7-9, 2012. Mr. Angiolillo will moderate the panel “Private Securities Litigation," which will cover key considerations in evaluating and defending a securities class action; limits of U.S. jurisdictional reach; how both sides can best approach settlement; dealing with related derivative and class actions; and effective use of forensic accountants.
Mr. Spatt will moderate the panel "M&A Returns: Friendly and Unfriendly Deals," which will discuss current trends in the M&A market, deal terms and structure; dealing with financial adviser conflicts; how far you can go in locking up the deal; defensive practices after Airgas; and dealing with financing and regulatory execution risk and conditionality.
