Simpson Thacher Represents J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC in Sale of a Majority Stake in Cabot Credit Management to Encore Capital Group
The firm represented J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC (“JCF”) in connection with the sale of a 50.1% equity interest in Janus Holdings Luxembourg S.a.r.l., a holding Company of Cabot Credit Management (“Cabot”), for £115 million in cash to Encore Capital Group, Inc. (“Encore”).
JCF is an international private equity group specialized in investments in the financial services sector. Cabot is a market leading acquirer and manager of consumer debt in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Encore is a leading provider of debt management and recovery solutions for consumers and property owners across a broad range of assets.
