Simpson Thacher Partner Alan Klein participated on a panel to discuss shareholder activism in M&A for Risk & Compliance’s Oct-Dec 2014 edition of its e-magazine. As part of the discussion on what means and methods activists are using in their attempts to exert influence or press their rights in connection with M&A transactions, Alan said, “Part of the activist playbook is to lobby proxy advisory services, which take into account a number of factors, including the depth of opposition to a proposed transaction.”
