Simpson Thacher Adds Prominent Financing Partner in Boston

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP today announced that John Ilardo has joined the Firm’s fast-growing Boston office as a Partner in the Banking and Credit Practice, where he will focus on acquisition finance and other debt finance matters.

John advises prominent private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies and other public and private company borrowers across a range of complex financing transactions in the syndicated and private credit markets, including acquisition financings, recapitalizations, liability management transactions and refinancings. Recognized by Chambers USA as a leader in debt finance, his practice spans the financial services and asset management, healthcare and life sciences, real estate, technology, manufacturing and industrials sectors. John joins the Firm from Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
