Simpson Thacher is representing Veritex Holdings, Inc. in connection with its agreement to be acquired by Huntington Bancshares Incorporated in an all-stock merger with a total market value of approximately $1.9 billion.
This strategic acquisition accelerates Huntington’s strong organic growth in Texas by expanding its presence in Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston. As of March 31, 2025, Veritex had approximately $13 billion in assets, $9 billion in loans, and $11 billion in deposits.
