VEMO Mobility receives $250 million equity commitment led by Vision Ridge Partners

09.03.25

Simpson Thacher represented VEMO Mobility in connection with a $250 million equity commitment led by Vision Ridge Partners. VEMO will use the capital to advance its deployment of public charging infrastructure and electric vehicles (“EV”) across Mexico, as well as to further develop its tech-enabled EV fleet management solutions.

Founded in 2021, VEMO operates a vertically integrated, clean mobility platform that combines EVs, charging infrastructure, and fleet technology to help support Mexico’s public EV charging network. The Company hosts public charging clients and leverages the synergies of its business lines – including VEMO Impulso, Latin America’s first lease-to-own EV product in partnership with Uber and DiDi, and VEMO Conduce – with an aim to self-generate demand.

The Simpson Thacher team for the transaction included Juan M. Naveira, Gabriel Silva, Enrique Guijosa, Laura Ribero and international associates Begoña Rodriguez and Jorge Granic (M&A); Andrew B. Purcell and Andrew L. Mandelbaum (Tax); Peter Guryan and Daniel Owsley (Antitrust); David Rubinsky and Ryan Stott (ECEB); David Caldwell and Shuhao Fan (Compliance); Alysha Sekhon and Margerite Blase (IP); and Steven DeLott (Insurance).
