Hong Kong and New York—November 18, 2025—Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP today announced that partner Michelle Cheh has joined the Firm’s Private Funds and Funds Transactions practices in Hong Kong.

Michelle advises sponsors in connection with forming and structuring private investment funds across asset classes, including private equity, private credit and real estate. Her practice also focuses on GP-led and LP-led secondaries and liquidity solution transactions, including continuation funds, LP portfolio sales, stapled secondary offerings, fund recapitalizations and restructurings and management team spin outs. She joins from Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Michelle is the second partner to join Simpson Thacher’s Hong Kong office this year, with Restructuring and Finance partner Daniel Margulies having joined in May.
