Laura Lin Quoted in Bloomberg Government on New California Safety Laws for AI Companies
Litigation Partner Laura Lin was quoted in a Bloomberg Government article, “AI Companies Wrestle With Compliance of California Safety Law,” which discussed a new California law requiring AI companies to disclose safety policies. It also shared how companies are approaching compliance as lawmakers are defining the associated damages and risks. Laura noted that “large developers will need to juggle public disclosures of safety policies with the possibility of spilling trade secrets to competitors or cybersecurity practices to bad actors.”
