Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP today announced that Jared Wilner has joined the Firm as a Partner in the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice, where he will lead the Firm’s Insurance Transactional and Regulatory team.

Jared brings extensive experience advising domestic and international insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and other industry participants on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reinsurance transactions, insurtech and insurance product development. His work also spans related regulatory compliance and corporate governance issues, as well as bespoke structures designed to meet the needs of insurers and asset managers. Prior to private practice, Jared served at the New York State Department of Financial Services, where he helped shape policy responses to issues arising from the 2008 financial crisis, and later as corporate counsel at Prudential Insurance’s life and annuities business units.
