Breen Haire Quoted in Bloomberg Law on Texas Recruiting Efforts
Breen Haire, Co-Managing Partner of the Firm’s Houston office and Co-Head of the Energy and Infrastructure Practice, was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article titled, “Texas Talent War Forces Law Firms Into ‘Hand-to-Hand Combat’,” which detailed the competitive market for legal talent in Texas. Breen explained how highly qualified corporate lawyers are always needed because there’s “so much deal flow” in Texas. He added that the Firm’s global practices and “highly competitive compensation” make Simpson Thacher “very successful in the Texas recruiting market,” noting that the Houston office had a record 35 summer associates last year and has over 100 attorneys.
