Avianca Completes Reopening of Senior Secured Notes Offering

Simpson Thacher represented Avianca Group in connection with its offering of US$150 million principal amount of additional 9.500% Senior Secured Notes due 2031. The additional notes constitute a reopening of the US$600 million in aggregate principal amount of notes initially issued on January 28, 2026, increasing the aggregate principal amount of the outstanding notes to US$750 million. Avianca used the proceeds of the additional notes to partially redeem its Senior Secured Notes due 2028 and for general corporate purposes. The offering of the notes was conducted pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act.
