Three Simpson Thacher matters were named “Deals of the Year” for 2026 by Latin Lawyer. The Firm advised on the following winning matters:
- Arauco’s $2.2 billion landmark financing for its Sucuriú Project in Brazil, which was named “Banking & Finance Deal of the Year”
- Scotiabank’s transfer of several LatAm operations to Davivienda, which was named “M&A Deal of the Year (Private Companies)”
- BRF and Marfrig’s landmark merger, which created a new company with annual revenues of approximately BRL 160 (US$32.5 billion), which was named “M&A Deal of the Year (Public Companies)”
