Simpson Thacher Matter Named “Digital Infrastructure Debt Financing Deal of the Year” at TMT Finance APAC Awards 2026
A matter on which Simpson Thacher advised was honored with a top prize at the TMT Finance APAC Awards 2026. The Simpson Thacher team, led by Partners Makiko Harunari and Alvin Kwong, was recognized for its representation of AirTrunk in connection with its A$16 billion (approximately US$10.4 billion) (ex-Japan) sustainability-linked refinancing, which was named “Digital Infrastructure Debt Financing Deal of the Year.” This transaction is notable as the region’s largest-ever sustainability linked financing. In addition, Vantage Data Centers’ acquisition of Yondr Group’s Johor campus, on which a Simpson Thacher team led by Partners Gabriel Silva and Ian Ho advised Vantage, was named a finalist for “Digital Infrastructure M&A Deal of the Year,” underscoring the Firm’s continued leadership across major digital infrastructure transactions in the region.
