Sas Mehrara Quoted on Innovative Real Estate Deal Structures
Partner Sas Mehrara was quoted in a Law360 article titled, “Deal Attys Talk Firsts, Copycats And Constant Reinvention,” which explored how innovation and creative structuring continues to reshape real estate deal making. Sas discussed the Firm’s work on early transactions that applied commercial mortgage-backed securities financing to acquire public companies. He said, “it was taking the technology of real estate financing and utilizing that type of financing to buy public companies, which was never really done.” Sas also emphasized the importance of balancing innovation with client confidentiality, explaining that while the structures will be different, his team still leverages approaches that would allow alternative clients to get the benefit from their expertise, while at the same time being very protective of confidential information.
